London Richards is a British artist, singer/songwriter, producer, and businessman. His formidable pen as a writer, coupled with his agility as a performer, makes Richards a superstar in the making and one of the most exciting artists to watch. Slated to release his forthcoming album in late 2020, Richards is ready to take the reins.

Born of Nigerian descent and raised in London, Richards has loved music from a young age since receiving turntables from his father. After discovering a vinyl of Michael Jackson's critically acclaimed album, Thriller and Marvin Gaye's What's Going On, he became inspired.

Releasing music at 17 years old, Richards showed early maturity in his songwriting and performance capabilities. Taking time in the years following to explore music, art, and culture, he notes, "I turned inwards and sought conviction in myself and my creations."

In 2017, Richards returned with his debut EP, mood 001, which reflected a confident and poised sound. In 2018, he released his follow-up project, mood 022, and his single, "Hypomania." That same year, Richards joined Halsey on her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom tour, and played festivals across the U.S. including Billboard Hot 100 and Bonanza Campout. He also highlights opening for the late Juice Wrld and playing Red Rocks twice in one year.

Successfully proving his musical range, Richards blends genres of pop, R&B, hip-hop, and alternative, while his lyricism reflects the experiences of traveling the world and becoming his true self. Further epitomizing the growth of his craft, Richards released his debut album, An Amazingly Beautiful Sad Story, in 2019. He remarks, "this album is for the self-terrorized beings who live in fright of their own nightmare." He adds, "I've created hundreds of songs over the years; for my first album, I chose the songs that told a story of healing, hope, and courage. I wanted to leave something behind that people can always come back to."

A student of life and philosophy, Richards sees his gift as a medium to benefit humanity; to help heal and unite people. He founded his company, Courtland 333 in 2018, dedicated to building meaningful relationships within his community, and helping people of all ages and races discover their identity. Named after the first primary school he attended, Courtland 333 embodies the mantra that the school touted, "everybody can be somebody," which he adapted to "everybody can be who they are."

In 2020, Richards signed with Red Bull Records. His next single, "Check on Me," is an up-tempo, melodic record produced by Robbie Soukiasyan, whose previous credits include artist XXXTENTACION. Written in 15 minutes, Richards wanted to release a record that would uplift people. "With everything going on in the world, I hope to spread an abundance of joy and ultimately help people generate compassion for self and others. People have a hard time admitting they need to be checked on."

With an incredible career ahead of him, Richards is clear on what he wants others to take away from his music. "I care deeply to be a catalyst in people's growth," he concludes. "I know the truth about who I am, and I know how to use what I've learned to assist with the healing of others. All power comes from within you."
